Interviewer: Let's talk about what's ahead for Rumpelstiltskin on season
three. He's always kind of forged his own path. In order to rescue Henry is
he going to have to team up with some of his occassional enemies.
Robert Carlyle: Well does he? Does he? You'll have to wait and see season
three. Nothing's ever obvious with Gold. So even though he said "We're
going to do it together." Are they going to do it together? Exactly and
neither do I. I know there's certainly an episode one in season three
something happens to change that. You very quickly discover that Gold is
still very much on his own.
Interviewer: Is it safe to say he's over his urge to kill Henry at this
point?
Robert Carlyle: That's a good question. I don't actually know. To be
honest, I genuinely don't know. What' is certainly true is that he believes
Bea is dead. He thinks he's gone. So he's going to find Henry to in some
sense honor the memory of his son. Even if that means the boy being his
undoing. So at that point of the beginning season three, he's pretty much
on a suicide mission. He thinks he's going to die. I can't say whether he's
going to live or die. He may well, you never know.
