I think it's logical,
because we're organizing a tournament for teams from Europe,
and so it's normal to have .eu
The Riga Cup is an amateur ice hockey tournament.
And that means Riga is the place for our tournament,
welcoming teams from more than 10 Nations every year,
and we are playing hockey, having fun. It's a sport where we travel a lot,
but it's not professional sports, this tournament is for amateurs.
I think it's one of the biggest tournaments in Europe.
Of course in Canada and the U.S. they have bigger tournaments,
but for Europe I think it's one of the biggest, yes.
I was trying to find tournaments in other countries, and it was very hard.
You know, I tried to find some in countries like the Czech Republic,
there it's .cz. Of course it's easier if everyone just uses .eu, like dot com.
It's important, first of all,
because Riga and Latvia have a popular ice hockey tradition.
We have the key international team Dinamoriga, we have the best fans in the world
and that's no secret in the hockey world.
We love hockey.
We're a small city and we have more than 100 amateur teams in Riga.
This means every taxi driver is playing hockey here.
