You can slightly control where asteroids go!
Asteroids often drift right at your ship after touchdown.
Move out of the way at the last moment,
and direct your gunfire where the asteroids converge.
This is a "combo" asteroid.
If you can destroy all 10 numbered asteroids,
then you get a really nice bonus asteroid.
The catch is that you gotta stay near the LZ.
The LZ follows you around slightly.
So try to move in a gradual circle to herd the tokens,
because they're worth a LOT more when you boost
through several at once.
I prioritize movement over shooting,
because some things can't be shot,
but everything can be dodged.
Try to take out this end-stage satellite ASAP.
Now is a good time to use your boost,
because it is replenished when the next stage starts.
I usually fire sideways rather than straight forward,
especially when dealing with big asteroids.
This is because asteroids sometimes break off in
your direction when shot. It's an occupational hazard!
Use concentrated gunfire on worms instead of weak spray,
because otherwise they'll dart right at you.
This sound effect means blue magnetic mines are here!
They're VERY fast and resistant to the "Gold Melter."
These orbital cannons are especially dangerous
because your gunfire can't stop their gunfire!
Worse yet, your own gunfire may hide incoming bullets.
Instead of attacking them head-on, I strafe orbital cannons.
Once you hear that end-phase satellite come down,
plan your boost-route, and make sure not to miss!
OK, Blue Worm Alert!
Keep your gunfire pattern tight and calmly navigate
around them. Remember not to spray!
Stay safe! Strafe!
OK, now I am planning a boost-route through those
tokens I am herding.
Remember to carefully aim your ship before boosting,
because it's easy to miss!
Blue Worms again!
Use tight gunfire and weave your ship between them!
See, they're not so bad!
You can also herd these blue mines together like tokens,
and either drag them into enemies or set them off at once.
UGH.
I got distracted by waiting for that Weapon Token
to change to an Ice Splitter.
Well, I guess this'll make the boss-fight more interesting.
Well, I've got no shield, but I have a lot of bombs.
Bombs are good for clearing gunfire, which allows you
to stay close to the boss
WHILE YOU CONCENTRATE FIRE ON HIS NIPPLES!!!
Observe the pattern on his ship
and get between his cannons BEFORE they pop out.
I switch weapons early so I can focus on dodging later.
Keep your eye on his weak points as he spins around.
If his weakpoints are facing away, then boost!
I guess they gave this guy THREE arms instead of FOUR
because they wanted to avoid all the swastika jokes.
Keep your gun direction and ship movements coordinated,
and don't get hit when the arms fold up!
Remember to move BETWEEN his cannons.
Stay really close to him, because if you get chased off
you'll wind up having to use bombs to get close again,
and you'll need those bombs for when he has only
one cannon left.
Move in a tight circular pattern around him.
If you move too far out, the cannon will catch up to you!
I had to use a bomb here because I was in a bad spot.
I think bombs give you a split-second of invulnerability
so I save them for occasions when I don't want to dodge.
By flying in a tight orbit, you might be able to save bombs!
Bombs are really for those rainy days when tactics fail.
ALLAHU AKHBAARRGGHHH
...and there goes the last bomb.
Thanks for watching, I hope these tips were helpful!
