Hi, I'm Jane from GreenSmoothieHabit.com. Welcome. I'm making a green smoothie egg nog
today. It is creamy and thick and delicious and mildly sweet and mildly egg noggy. The
bourbon or rum additions will be extra, that will be up to you. We're starting with a base
of almond milk, 2 cups, not all this, this is what I made this morning and to use for
this recipe. At the end of this video, I'll put the link to the video on how to make your
own almond milk. It's simple, easy and delicious. 1/2 cup of pitted dates, I'm using Medjool,
but you can use a different variety if you can't find the Medjool. The Medjool are sweeter
and meatier than other varieties, but any variety will do. You can sweeten to taste.
A splash of vanilla... two frozen bananas... all you have to do to freeze bananas is make
sure they're ripe with the brown sugar spots on the peel, peel them, put into a freezer
bag, you'll have them when you need them, like for this recipe. A large handful of spinach,
look at that, doesn't that look beautiful? This is where the magic is... and 1/4 teaspoon
pumpkin pie spice. Speaking of pumpkin pie, that reminds me, before I forget, I want to
tell Sandi, who wrote in and said, "A pumpkin pie green smoothie would be delicious, do
you have any?" Well, Sandi, I just made one, and in case you missed it, I'm going to put
the link to it at the end of this video. It's really good. Okay, time to blend, sip and
beautify. Gve it 45 seconds on high in the vitamix, pour into a beautiful glass, garnish
with a little nutmeg and cinnamon, and now it's time to taste it...
This is delicious... it's thick amd creamy like egg nog, it has a gentle autumn flavor
with a touch of vanilla behind it. I wish I knew your name, so I could thank you for
suggesting I come up with a green smoothie egg nog. You are going to like this, please
make it, leave your comments below and the links for what I talked about in the video
are coming right up. Thank you!
