Welcome back, dude.
I hope you're enjoying your Road Trip and it's all been smooth driving.
We've come to a pit stop on your journey. You have to come off the road and online to do the hazard perception test.
All P1 licence holders must pass the test before applying for a P2 licence, or open licence, depending on your age.
Find out more in the Glovebox on the homepage.
You'll get a letter in the mail when it's time for you to do the test, which is about six weeks before you're due to upgrade.
You do the test on a computer at home, library or friend's place. Not at a driver licence issuing centre.
Don't stress, you don't have to be a gaming guru to pass.
The test is made up of a series of video clips of real footage.
Each clip involves a potentially dangerous driving situation.
It's up to you to recognise the hazard and respond as quickly as you can.
The test itself takes around 15 minutes but you should allow 45 minutes for the whole process.
There's an instruction video to watch. A mouse skills exercise. Download time, and other bits and pieces to go through.
Make sure you concentrate. And don't worry if you don't pass first time.
You can take the test as many times as you need to, you just can't take it again on the same day.
And you only pay for the test when you pass. Not each time you do it.
You can pay with a credit card by phone, online or in person when you upgrade.
A word of warning: It's illegal for someone else to sit the test for you. So no cheating.
After you pass and pay for your hazard perception test, have held your P1 licence for at least 12 months, and filled in the paperwork,
go to a driver licence issuing centre to upgrade your licence. If you don't, you'll still be under your P1 restrictions.
Nice one. Way to play it cool.
