Daughter : Hello dad , buy my book at least today ok. Please don't forget!
Shopkeeper : What are you looking for sir?
Balu : Do you have The book for Practical physics?
Shopkeeper : I'll check if it is there in the old stock and come back
Balu : OK
Shopkeeper : Here you go sir.
Balu : Paru..
Paru : Yeaa..
Balu : Paru.. Get me a glass of tea
Paru : I'll bring it in a minute
Balu : Did our girl(daughter) reach yet ?
Paru : No , she'll reach soon.
[Balu reads the first line of the letter] "Dear Balu.."
[Finds out the book was Dasan's(his old friend), and so was the letter ]
[Balu starts reading and remembering the past]
Dasan(via letter) : " Dear Balu, Didn't you always ask me why I always take the effort to come send you off in the very crowded railway station??
You always used to tell me that all my poems had the memories of a lost girl friend..
You were right, a lost girl friend ! Yes, that loss is what turned your friend Dasan's life upside down, your life too.
Our love had been present in every nook and corner of our college
She used to scribble my name on the desks with compass, much more beautifully than I could ever write it.
Even now, those benches would be there, bearing the testimonials of my lost love.
Everybody in the class knew about our love, but no one made fun of us.
I don't know why they didn't do it, maybe they also felt our relation was pointless.
After finishing Pre-degree from that college , I entered our new college. I had a lot of hopes, about her , about the future , about our life together ..
But, when 1-2 weeks passed and I couldn't see her, everything started feeling terrible , my insides started burning.
There was no way to know about her , no means to contact her.
The impact of that loss shook my life completely.
And then, out of nowhere I got you as a friend and I got out of that loneliness to an extent.
On that fine eve at Kozhikode beach you took out your girl's picture and showed me.
It was the loss of my life , My Parvathy
You probably won't remember , but it was after that day that I started coming to the crowded railway station, just to send you off eventhough I hated crowded places.
Every train that goes away will come back , it definitely will. That is fate.
When you sit waiting for fate to play out , the hours of separation will seem like seconds.
That wait, it is a hope, the hope of life.
That is why I always come to send you off, just for that hope , just for that good feeling.
Because when you come back, along with the sweets you bring back, you also bring back small, small stories about her.
But ...
Today when you introduced her to me, I felt like something died inside of me .
I don't know if I'll be there to hear your stories when you come back this time ...
Yours , Dasan. "
Daughter:Dad..Dad...
You forgot my book again, didn't you ??
How many times do I have to tell you dad ??
Balu : Dasan , Parvathy had told me about having a past relation long back itself.
But she never told me it was you.
If I knew, I would have never ever let you lose your life over it.
I swear.
Paru : Balu-etta , here is your tea.
What happened ?? You've been looking lost since you came here .
Balu : No, Nothing .
