Yesterday we arrived to Kouvola to SoundSpiral Audio -studios.
Were supposed to record drums to three new songs for my solo project EP this weekend.
Today we're starting tracking the drums and yesterday we set up the drum kit.
That was *** good.
What was wrong with that?
At least I'll save that take, it was *** good!
Juho Räihä works your audio recording engineering here in SoundSpiral Audio -studios
and he works in Sound Spiral Audio anyways.
How would you describe working with Juho?
Juho has been doing audio engineering for 13 years
so you can clearly see his great experience of his work.
He's very good tuning up the drums and as well great as recording technician.
He's got a very strict ear
I appreciate his kind of perfectionism.
The kick drums line was going a bit shuffle.
Today we tracked one and half songs and tomorrow we'll continue.
How do you think today's drum recording managed?
At the end of the day I'm feeling quite good.
It's much easier to work when the music is your own from the beginning.
I would say that
of course you could you always play tighter, but you have to be satisfied in some point.
At one point you hit something excessive
but there's a good drive in the drumming.
Ukri, you're permanently fired from your own project!
I'll take those drum tracks and write my own songs to those.
I got a cancer from that *** music!
I think Jouni got touched from that music!
Yep, tears are falling.
This is the most revolutionary and innovative artist that I've heard for a long time!
Oh ***, you're making some ancient rotten *** right now!
What is your vision in
do you want to have very strict drums
or does it matter if there's some rough feel in the drumming?
In this project I see it's important that the drum strokes are very strict.
The sound has to be organic and sound natural but the drumming must be very strict.
The vitality is here.
Pizza, beer and smoking.
Should we listen to that take?
It was very good.
