Some of you have probably seen by now that I have a notice for you to check out Evernote on my class Moodle page.
Evernote is a fabulous way to take notes, and it will synchronize (you can see up here, "sync") with your smartphone, your computer at home, your computer at home, anything that can connect to the internet. It is all kept in the cloud.
If you look on the side, you will see that you can have notebooks. I have all of my notebooks for all of my classes and a shared notebook.
The real key to Evernote is tags. Tags are just like when you're uploading a video to Youtube or putting something on your blogs. The more tags you have, the easier it is to search and find what you need in your notes.
And as you can see, you can even save searches. So, if you're going to take a note in AP English. We're going to start a new one. Go under File, add new note, set your title, set your author, and you can share this, too.
If we have a source for the notes that's actually a webpage, you can put it there. You can click to add tags, and that is where you can put any searchable term like subjects in the notes. The set font is not Garamond--that's just what I prefer.
Then, once you are done, it will give you a quick view of what it looks like. Once you are done with that, you can add web clips and put all kinds of stuff on this. I'm just starting to use this myself, but I really recommend it for my AVID students.
