This video will assist you in setting up appointments through University College’s Action academic assistance program.
Appointments are offered by our trained, certified, undergraduate Peer Learning Assistants and are free to students at OU.
First, go to the UC Action homepage at UC.OU.EDU/ACTION. Here you’ll find information about the UC Action program, a
place to download, view, or search our drop-in Action schedule; and, you can click on the Action Appointments link
to get more information about making appointments.
This page will give you information about in- person and on-line appointments.
Note that you can come by or call our offices anytime we’re open, and we’ll search for and make these appointments for you.
However, if you desire to use self-service, you can do so through our TutorTrac software at tutor.ou.edu [Click on the TutorTrac button].
Once at the TutorTrac site, login with your 4+4 and OU password,
and you’ll be able to search availabilities.
Most appointments are held at our Wagner Learning Center, though a few are at our Housing Learning Center facility (which is
in Adams Residence Center, Muldrow Tower, room 105), and online appointments will show up under ALC_Other.
Select your “section” (subject), being sure to select the department name and course number WITHOUT “AC” (Action Center) at the end.
We'll search for Chem1315 this time.
If your subject does not show up, it means that we do not currently offer it, however from our website at uc.ou.edu/action,
you can click on the "Request a new Subject" button to fill out a form to request it.
Note that appointments must be made or cancelled 24-hours in advance, and you can book up to 3 weeks in advance.
Once your results show up, click on the one- hour time slot that you want, and the system will send a confirmation email with time,
location, subject, and tutor to your OU email.
After processing is completed, you may book additional one-hour blocks (as many as you need).
These appointments are small group, so you’ll be sharing the session with up to 5 other students,
except in online sessions, which are limited to 3 students.
To find an online session, you’ll go to ALC-Other, and choose your subject.
The confirmation email that gets sent will note the location of the online location as a web address. I’ll give you more information on
registering for our online tutoring program in a different video.
If a tutor must cancel, you will receive an email from the Student Learning Center letting you know; if you must cancel, please call
405-325-7621 to let us know. If you miss 3 appointments during the semester, you will not be allowed to book anymore Action
Appointments that semester (but we welcome you to continue using our drop-in UC Action sessions).
Contact us with any questions about this service, and we hope that it helps you succeed academically at OU.
