>> RYAN: Welcome back, Internet people. My name is Ryan. We are playing Shadow Man.
Today we are going over, or going after, rather, Jack 2.
His symbol is either that or that
and, yes. He is the last of the Five.
It is rather dramatic.
Here he is: Jack 2. The very final chamber.
The last time I'm going to have disturbingly stick a big thingy into these naked man torsos
to spread them wide open
and all sorts of red things come out.
I don't know exactly what that means but yes.
Oh! Oh!
Oh, this is the cut-scene! This is the cut-scene spot!
>> SHADOW MAN: This should be useful.
>> RYAN: What, pray tell, is this?
Jack's journal.
Oh, it says "journal" right on it.
"Being the journal of John. G. Pierce, otherwise known as 'Jack the Ripper.'"
Oh Christ, there's lots... ffff...
OK, I'll read all this and I'll get right back to you, Internet people.
Alrighty, Internet people, so apparently as far as I can tell this entire document sort
of goes over everything that's happened in the entire game.
The trueforms are evil and you know, they're going to build this giant area, or build this
asylum or such and such...
>> SHADOW MAN: It's pretty dark in here.
>> RYAN: There's some basic plans and layouts and whatnot but...
not least of which was the thing that tells me how to undo those--because there's like
a failsafe mechanism in something if you need to deactivate... I don't really understand
that part to be quite honest.
But, basically it gave me all the codes to deactivate...
I can swim down here.
They gave me all the codes to deactivate the...
the pistons...
which I already had because I'm a cheater.
Where, pray tell, am I now?
No, that's a dead end.
I guess I can swim down there. No, it doesn't look like I can.
I can go up here, though.
I wonder if all roads lead to an exit?
I hope they do. I hope it's like that last place I was in where even if it seemed quite
mazelike it was still...
You were still always making progress. It didn't loop back on itself or...
cause issues.
Where is this place?
"Down Street Station, London."
Hm.
So this is, that was a maintenance shaft it said.
So what am I...?
What am I ascending? Where am I ascending to?
Hustle and bustle, Shadow Man. We need to see what's up here.
If we don't see what's up here then...
Oh, look at that.
Oops. This is quite interesting.
>> SHADOW MAN: There's no way I'm going to get through here.
>> RYAN: Closed for business at the moment? Must be.
Jack, where are you?
I just need to kill you. It's not like it's a big deal or anything.
[dogs growling]
***, oh god! They're the demon ones. Oh ***!
Oh, there's always so many of you!
And I don't know what happened there. I don't know why I was sliding through them but...
I was.
And that is precisely the reason a turn around button is necessary because while I turn around
I get hit a lot.
Oh, goodness.
Goodness gracious.
Come on, don't get stuck on the dog, Shadow Man.
They're dangerous. You don't get stuck on things that are dangerous. It's bad for you.
You will probably die.
No. No you don't. Bad dog.
Well, that was violent.
Hardly necessary.
Sickin' dogs on me... Is that your idea of a joke, Mr. Jack?
Probably is.
This Jack guy's a jerk. Serial killers tend to be jerks.
I wonder why that is.
Hm.
I rather like this area, though. It is very interesting.
Oh, delicious.
These tunnels seem to be completely useless.
No one would ever build a train station like this.
Oh, a train.
Oh, Shadow Man.
That 45 degree angle on top of that train is just befuddling you, isn't it?
Am I meant to go inside the train? Is there a way to get in? Oh, there is too.
I don't know why there's a bunch of thingies in the train taking a ride somewhere but whatever.
I'll go with it.
Over here, this looks like the way out perhaps?
Mmm. That train had people on it.
Good attention to detail.
Oh, I hear footsteps that aren't mine. Oh god.
Hmm.
Let's collect the things over here first
before proceeding in that direction.
Oh, off I go.
I bet there's something over here.
>> SHADOW MAN: There's got to be some way the hell out of here.
>> RYAN: Oh. [laughs]
I bet that was the some way the hell out of here.
It's like someone opens a door and then there's a clear path to go and then says, "Oh no!
How do I get out of here!?"
That is the sort of dialogue that I expect from Shadow Man, however.
Let's just make sure there's nothing interesting around here that would...
make this...
Oh god. OK.
What's that... down there?
I can't see prop- Oh ***.
Oh ***. That was a dog.
I knew something like that was going to happen but I thought maybe these dogs were Jack.
But it turns out that I was wrong. Oh well.
At least it's only a pack of five of them. It's better than the eight or whatever it
was they gave me in that upper, more well kept area.
Like, it was pretty ridiculous fighting those eight dogs or however many it was. It could
have been 12. I don't know.
Uh, so how do I get out of here and then return back to the top?
Through this door, I suppose?
I hope that wasn't a complete waste. I'm hoping I see something interesting
at the very least.
>> SHADOW MAN: Made it.
>> RYAN: Yes, Shadow Man. You did make it.
Thanks for exclaiming.
I hear more dogs.
I tire of the dogs.
Oh no. I'm going to have to jump in there and fight them, aren't I?
A ha, I side jumped in here. What are you going to do about that, dogs?
A ha.
I'm too good at video games for you.
OK, I'm going to...
I'm going to do it this way first and there is a little bit of water.
[dogs growling]
Where are these dog noises coming from? Is it further along?
Must be further along.
Oh, nope. There we go.
Well, I just let some dogs out or in or something.
Really wish I knew where I was going right now.
