Sometimes someone not giving you what you think you need from them is the answer to
your prayers. If you find yourself in a situation where you're surrounded by negativity and
you're craving appreciation or validation, or that pat on the back. You are being asked
to give that to yourself. The thing about negativity is that it's information about
person who's negative. Once you start interacting and reacting with a negative person it becomes
information about you. You don't need to deal with negativity. You don't need to engage
it. You can let the person who's stuck in his or her negativity stay stuck in it, because
it's information about them. I encourage you to see that negativity or dealing with negativity
is a choice. You don't have to do that. You don't have to let somebody else's view on
the world you know, spill over and effect your thoughts or your feelings, or your reactions.
If you're feeling like you want support it's your job to be your own cheerleader, and you'll
start to find the more you show up for yourself the more you'll attract people into your life
who do give you that appreciation and that validation that you want. The trick to it
is that when it comes from another person without you being equally able to give it
to yourself it doesn't mean anything. When you give it to yourself and another person
is able to see that, it's a very powerful validation.
