Ninety per cent of what I said I was going to do, I have done.
An embattled Rob Ford desperately tries to defend his reputation, after the latest in
a series of scandals rocked his mayoral position.
We have rebuilt our fiscal foundation. The city of Toronto has turned a corner, and is
on a path to a brighter future.
The Toronto mayor was speaking at a business lunch in the city, which he had arrived late
for after getting stuck in a hotel lift for nearly an hour.
It comes just two days after a video emerged showing Ford ranting in a Jamaican accent
and using swear words to describe Toronto's police chief. A characteristically defiant
Ford, who is registered to run in this year's municipal election, has since admitted had
been drunk when the video was shot and continues to insist that such incidents do not affect
his work.
