Open the gate!
Open the gate!
Open the gate!
And we are live from the Stadspark in Groningen
And behind us you can see a balloon is lifting up.
I really like to go, Franca, and say hello to Franca
And we are live again from Zomerfolk with William
In the Stadpark in Groningen
Yeah, and what we're going to do, Franca?
You do the talking.
Yes, we're gonna show you a preview of the build-up of Zomerfolk
The Rapalje Zomerfolk festival which will be held this weekend
here in the Stadspark
Going to travel around with an electric bike, scooter
And we show you where the entrance is
from Zomerfolk, here we go..
This is the bridge you go over when you enter Zomerfolk
Yeah, big kiss, yeah!
The gates of Babylon!
Let's see if I can
Because this is al so special, a special place,
This entrance, you see the heart?
Cool, Dieb, can you dance like this?
Can you dance like this?
Market stands, Oh! This will all be markets
Because yesterday we were here in all empty market stands behind us here
And now I go to the to the area where the archery will be
Hey, I know that look, looks familiar
Panic!
And, eh, behind us here, there, will be the stage
Driving into the ice cream, almost, right now
Whoo, the icecream, whoo!
This is nice, we call this the Groninger Stonehenge
And this will be all empty, or no, there will be
seats for people who want to listen
And shade, yeah
And lots and lots of good food around
And coffee
And Mead
This is interesting
And beer
Here can see the wings and the wedges
And here you can see the Rapalje beer
One cider
Cheers, cheers! Cheers, mate!
Let me show you something nice:
That's a balloon we just saw on the other side
It's lifting up. This is the most beautiful day to do have a
balloon in the air
Here we go to the back stage
And the back stage will be here
And the stage as well
and there will be food and everything for everybody's working right here
Okay, and here we got Sebastiaan and Jeroen, hello!
Our all people are very important for the for the festival because they are volunteers
And, eh
We build a place in the middle of the Groninger Stonehenge
where you can
Keep dry or out of the sun into the shade. Here we go
I show you around
This is the way they carry water here
You can see that they are..
It all goes to the sea, the water
Yeah, we we enjoy Zomerfolk
No, I don't have any useful thing to say
No? nothing usefull?
Try to give you a good look behind the stage everything you cannot see normally from the other side
So this is special look from behind the scenes here on Facebook livestream
Hoppa!
So nice, this is a very nice park. This is Stadspark in Groningen
And it's beautiful here. When the weather stays like this it will be
Top! a very good weekend
Oh, look at this. Look at this, over there:
Can you show us?
Marcel!
Zo ..
.. mer ..
And here we go, .. folk
We're now at the camping place, camping
She want's to camp here. Okay, Yeah..
Okay, hello!
A, bed is already there
So, let's take a look around here
So let's enjoy
everything on Zomerfolk, the entertainment
and the children and the
relaxation
Good night, yeah..
Good night, sleep tight, bye..
What I'm doing right now is to try
to do a live stream
and the recording for the Rapalje Show
I'm tweaking everything
to make it as easy as possible to make good videos for you, for both the live stream
and the Rapalje Shows
Please let me know if this color light is better than last week
And to be honest, I will not sit here for half an hour
because it's so warm here in the Netherlands
that I'm going outside
And go to my garden and talk there because
It's really warm here. I was editing this live video
for Zomerfolk all day afternoon, so it's really getting warm here
Let's go outside. And I also want to show you something
And I want to apologize now for a start
because I promised you
to play a song
On the Gitouki
if I managed to repair it last week
during the livestream
And I really want to play a song. But I have a small problem
And I really don't know
where the key is
because the instrument is here at the back
You will really get a song from me
on the Gitouki. Because I repaired it last week
I did it
It was the worst repair ever because I was talking and repairing at the same time
But, it held
For a whole weekend!
So, welcome in my garden
Frank Reijn, in Dutch: Gefeliciteerd, Congratulations!
Yeah, it's the 50th Rapalje Show
But I cannot promise to do a Rapalje Show every week, because
it is a lot of work
Even now, I'm working on the edits two or three days
Because I haven't done it for a while
and it's still a lot of material I have to go through and I have to edit it
Simone Baumgarten, thank you very much, she writes:
You always do a great job. Well, it's a lot of work, I hope I do
Donna Dillard writes: Yes, you're doing a wonderful job
Fast pace and to the point
if you've seen the live streams from last week
And you did see the YouTube movie
Please let me know if you think I'm doing a good job
and, the idea I have is working out for you.
I have a special cup
Marcel,
Where are your keys?
Who is Marcel?
Well, to be honest
I am Marcel
But then, we had to make a CD
This is our very first CD we made
This is also a CD where William
is still a chicken
I'm really not that good at typing and I forgot the "R"
Accodeon without an "R"
And Macel
Not Marcel because I forgot the "R" again
I'm not only losing my keys forgetting my keys
I'm also forgetting to type the "R" on the keyboard
My first
Artist name was Macél, and it was all due to a mistake
Now you know. And after that I thought Macél doesn't look good. I put an "A" on it
I put the little the little thingy on the "A"
and then my artist name is Maceál and not Marcel
But you can name whatever you want.
You can also see in the video I just edited
that William also calls me Marcel and now you know
Tanja: You have forgotten where you have placed the keys
and you have forgotten how to spell your name
That's not a good sign, no, I know
It's not because I'm getting old. I was always like this
Linda Wolf:
Had a question, but now I lost it
Like my keys
and like
The "R" on this
This is the way we used to make CDs
And then we made a CD like this
We also have a painting
And then we had a CD like this
These are our daddy's. This is my daddy
This is William's daddy
and this is Dieb's daddy
Then this CD is called "Wack fol the daddy-o"
These CDs are not available anymore
but we made a new CD, this one
And put all these CDs in to one
You don't have to buy CDs from Rapalje, we just throw every music we have
for nothing,
you don't have to pay anything,
on YouTube and you can listen to our music for free on every streaming
service like Deezer or Spotify or whatever there is
and I even put this whole CD with booklet where I'm
going through all the pages with a very boring video
made at my fireplace
and you can listen to all the songs from these CDs in a YouTube video
Feli Großhans writes:
Lose whatever you want
but you never lose us, your fans
your friends and family. Thank you very much
The main reason that we make music
is to connect people with each other
and to connect with you. Because
music is a very international way to communicate
and everybody understands or speak the language of music
Celtic music is a kind of music that we like
because we know
that especially being buskers, street musicians,
it's a damn good way to communicate
and to make a living and to get us going
Thank you for listening to our music and thank you for that.
So, bye-bye
Be easy and free and see you next time, bye-bye!
