OK so today I am going to show you how to make a simple DVD cover in Photoshop CS5.5 Extended.
This is for a standard DVD case and takes five minutes to make.
So hopefully you will enjoy this video and follow the easy steps and you will have your very own DVD cover.
Enjoy.
As I said, this is very easy. So what you want to do is to open Photoshop and then go up to file and then new.
When it comes to this, make sure you go down to custom and then what you
want to do is change from pixels to inches and then it should change for both.
For width you want to type 10.75 inches and then for height you type 7.2 inches
and set the resolution to 300 pixels per inch. And then after you done that, click
OK. So now you've got your own blank
DVD cover. What you want to do now is to
create the spine of the DVD cover. So go
up to view, go down to rulers and make
sure rulers has a tick beside it, if it doesn't, just press it again. What you
should be able to do then is new guide and make sure vertical is selected and
type in 1540 and then press OK. A blue guide line should then come up. After that,
select a new guide and this time type in 1682 and then click OK. That is now your
spine for your DVD cover. So what you want to do now is to go to view and lock
. This makes sure the blue guide lines don't move accidentally. Just select your
mover tool and this is when the real work begins. It is fairly simple. So you want to
type something so make sure to have a theme. My theme will be a wedding DVD.
So hopefully you have enjoyed this video and make sure to leave a like as it means
a lot. Also share it with your friends and make sure to smash that subscribe
. Hopefully this is the new start of the TheNewAdamb99. I have taken a year out
YouTube and so hopefully this is it for good. Remember to subscribe and I will
have a video coming very soon.
