We are going to be showing this installed on a 2004 Chevy Pickup Full Size. We will
show you how it goes on, it is a pretty simple device. Before we begin our install what we
need to do is two things, first off it is a good idea to clean off the mirror. This
is so when you push the extension on the vehicle it does not push the dirt into the mirror
and possibly ruin your finish. After that we need to assemble the mirror itself. That
requires putting a felt pad on the wedge that you see off to the right hand side. Once we
have that, we can go ahead and install the mirror. This does not have to be perfect because
this is actually all going to be on the inside of the mirror. Once you have your sticker
in place this wedge actually gets installed inside the mirror and there is actually a
little notch back here for this to fit into. It is kind of a loose fit but it has to move
around a little bit and it has to sit in these two grooves right here.
After that we can actually slide this onto the mirror on our pickup. To install our mirror,
basically we take the bottom edge of the mirror, the extension actually, and slide it over
the bottom edge of the truck mirror and then snap it over the top. Once you have it snapped
over kind of take a second to maybe work it in a little more if you can. After that then
use your set screw to tighten it up in the back. Basically tighten it down until its
snug. To give you a couple more notes about this product, the mirror itself is about 17
inches overall, the mirror face is actually 4-1/2 inches wide by 6 inches tall. As you
can see it comes with the specially designed wedge in screw used to hold the slide on mirror
over the trucks mirror. Aside from the easy installation it requires no tools, the ***
custom towing mirrors leave no marks or holes on your vehicle. They are fully adjustable
and do not obstruct the use of your original mirror. There you have it for part # 10801,
the *** custom towing mirror.
