Hey guys, it's Prince-- StrongFirst Prep Day is this day 16?
I feel pretty good. I'm starting to feel a lot better. I'm still sneezing and stuff,
a few sniffles here and there, but I really feel good.
You can tell that I'm sweating after I knocked out my workout.
I did get-ups today with the 28kg. I did 2 sets--1 set with the 24kg, and 2 sets with
the 28kg.
I feel pretty good about that. I know that I've done a get-up with a 28kg before, but
it was awhile back. I think I did one last year, but it was not pretty.
So I did 2 sets with those. 2 on each side.
I did a lot of snatches today. I only used a 20kg. Last time when I did this workout,
I did drop-set snatches. I did 6|6 with the 20kg, and then I would go down to 12|12 with
a 16kg.
If you can recall, I had completely killed my hands. I got through 112 snatches in 16
minutes doing--15 minutes-- doing 8|8 and taking a break.
Then I was putting something--a status message on Facebook. I should not be on Facebook during
my workout, but so I missed 2 or 3 minutes because that's what Facebook does-- it sucks
away your time.
So I'm not doing that again.
So I probably could have gotten a lot more than 112 reps, well... I won't say a lot more--
maybe 128.
I'm sure I would have gotten at least 1 more set.
I'm laughing, I feel pretty good, and last night after I shot the last video, I did knock
out a bunch of swings and got a lot of good information out of working out while I did
that training in class.
So I've got a lot of homework to do. I have Exercise Physiology that I have to go study
and take a quiz. I hope my teacher isn't watching this channel or he'll be like,"Dude, you should
have done that a long time ago."
But hey, I'm a busy man.
So I feel pretty good today, this workout is a wrap. I have to do something to condition
these hands. I'm using working hands and soaking them, but I've got to get these hands conditioned
or I'm not going to get through the weekend. I think I could do more snatches, but these
calluses and blisters are starting to hurt.
I know part of it is grip strength, and some of it is just a matter of me getting stronger--
you know, having better control of the kettlebell.
So that's one of those practice things.
Anyway-- I don't want to ramble even more, so I will holler at you all another time.
