Hi, I am Debbie. First off I want to thank you all for subscribing to my YouTube
channel. I'm so amazed about how many people every single day subscribe to
my channel. I get emails. You guys find me on Facebook. You find me on twitter.
A lot of you are asking me a lot of questions. So today I want to answer some of
your emails and I want to talk to you about the hear that you are buying. I felt that
you need to be aware of the hair that you are buying because most of the hair
that you're buying is not genuine hair. It is not Indian hair. It is not Brazilian hair.
It is not Mongolian hair. It is not Peruvian
hair. It is actually hair coming out of China. I felt it will be a good idea to give
you seven common mistakes that you make and even I made when buying hair.
Now, the first thing you want to talk to you about is if you have bought hair and
the hair stinks. I mean the hair smells really bad. There's a reason for it. I got an
email about that. A lot of people send me emails and tell me that they were told to
dip the hair in fabric softener, dish-washing liquids, vinegar and things like that.
Well the first thing is that if you are buying here and you have to dip it into
anything to get the smell out that is the first sign that you did not buy genuine
hair. That is the first sign that the hair is not quality by any means. I'm going to
tell you why the hair stinks.
The reason why the hair has a very bad odor is because the hair ... most of the
hair is coming out of China. It was dipped in acid. The reason why they dip it in
an acid is because they want to burn the cuticles off. If they burn the cuticles off
of that hair. What happens is| it does not come from one person it comes to many
sources. So if they burn the cuticles off it supposedly is going to make the hair
smoke. If they make the hair smooth it means it is not going to tangle. It's not
going to mat up. So they manufacture the hair. They stretch it out. They weft it
out. They bundle it out and they send it to us here. If you are buying hair that
stinks. It is not genuine hair. It is probably not even real hair at all.
The second thing that you want to look for when you buying hair is if the hair
melts. What I mean by that is if you're curling the hair and you see black stringy
things on your curling iron or you smell smoke coming from the curling our. There
is a mark left on your flat iron or your curling iron. That is because the hair has
been mixed with synthetic. Again I cannot stress to you enough that most of his
hair is coming out of China. I think it is probably 90% or 95% is coming out of
China. Most of you who are buying here from the [Ali express]. [Ali express] is
based out of China. So when you are buying here and they are telling you it is
Indian or Brazilian that is the first sign that it is not. If you buying hair that you
spending $30 to $40-$50 for 18 inch of hair. There's no way that you can get
genuine pure hair that someone had to cut off there hed and get manufactured
for $40 to $50-$60. That is another sign that you're not buying genuine hair.
The third thing that I want to tell you about is when you're getting bundles. This is
the email that I've gotten from many people that you see these little let balls on
the hair. Those little balls that you see are actually lice. They dip the hair in
different type of solutions, chemicals to kill the lice.
Now most of the hair that has lice is sitting in a warehouse. It is sitting in bundles
all over the place. In China what people are doing is that they are actually bring
hair from the brushes and combs. They bring it in and bags and they take it to the
manufacturers. They're getting pennies on the dollar for the hair. These
manufacturers are taking the hairs and stretching them out, doing all types of
things. Next they label it "Indian", "Brazilian", and "Mongolian" hair. The reason
why know so much about what they're doing overseas is because I actually had
been selling hair now for maybe about 15 years. I've been selling hair before this
hair "game" became a "game" that it is. Because I have been selling hair for so long
I built relationships internationally. One of my vendors that I use to use for so
many years actually start to sell me bad hair. Of course if you're selling me bad
hair that harms my reputation. I have a great reputation and it started to hurt
my business. I needed to research and find out how to find real good hair. That
is because I'm spending good money and you are too.
The fourth thing that a want you to look for is that when you're buying hair and
you get a bundle of hair. You have a numerous amount of white hairs. They are
very white and greyish looking hairs. Sometimes you may get a real genuine
bundle that may have great hair and may have come from an older person. But if
you get a bundle of hair and there are so many pieces of white hair that you're
pulling out. You notice that when you're pulling it out and they pop out really easy
like a piece of synthetic hair. That is because it is. In many instances the reason
why the hair is white is because like I said these manufacturers are getting hair
from many sources. It is not coming from one donor. They are stripping the hair
of his natural color. The national melanin in the hair and when they stripping it
they are stripping it down to where it is pure white or gray.
Then what they do is that they actually will process the hair with somewhat of a
[hannah]. They process it with a brown or a dark black. Well when they process it
that's when you get the brown and black color. But when you still see the whites
that is because that synthetic recent hair did not take the color. So be very
careful of that. That is another sign that the hair is not *** hair. Another email
that I got, this is reason number five. If the hair that you are buying is real shiny.
Now our natural hair has nutrition. If you hair is healthy then you hair will have
a good sign. But if you hair has a superficial sign then it is superficial. That
is the first sine that they mixed the hair with synthetic hair.
The sixth thing is if you see a lot of red in the hair. That means if you are holding
it up to the light and it looks like it has red in it or it just looks like it is a reddishbrown
that is not *** hair. That is hair to that is been processed.
Its just like the process that I mentioned with the white hair. They processes it by
dipping the hair into a Hannah to give it a brownish or black color. Well if you are
coloring dark-haired the base color in any dark color is red. So if you are buying a
clearall or whatever. If it is a black or a brown. The base color is red. If you're
seeing a lot of red in that bundle of hair that you purchased it has been process
and it is not genuine. The seventh thing that I want you to look
for is if you are buying hair or if you purchase hair and the hair does not curl.
You are crawling with your flat iron, you are rolling it and you are doing all sort
of things. If you are still not gettting a curl
that is a major sign the hair is mixed with synthetic.
I though it was very important that you guys know this and I wanted to share this
with you because I'm just so tired of seeing people getting ripped off. You buying
hair. You are spending good money for this hair and the next thing that you notice
is that you must throw it into the garbage or you look like you have a birds nest
on your head as you are walking down the street. That's because all of that
synthetic hair is netting up together. You should always buy from a vendor that is
going to give you a guarantee on the hair. If they are not going to guarantee
the hair you may think twice about buying it. That is because most of the stores
that you buy from will not offer an exchange and they were not return the product.
That is a sign that that you should think about also for a second time.
Now I sell hair myself and I'm not promoting this video to tell you to go out and
buy my hair. There's a lot of really good companies that you can find. I will tell
you this. If you are buying cheap air. It is cheap for a reason.
So I thought that I wanted to share that with you and answer some of my emails
from some of my subscribers. I want to thank you again for watching my channel.
Keep sending me the emails. Keep responding to me on twitter. Follow me on
Facebook. I will see you on the next video. [Music]
