(Music.)
Once upon a time, there was a mighty hunter,
a proud hunter that could fell any beast of the wild,
for the hunter had the sharpest spear in the land.
One day, as the hunter was following a frog,
a lion jumped from beneath a nearby bush and roared.
(Lion roars.)
Overcome with fear, the hunter ran through the jungle,
but the lion followed close behind.
Before long, the hunter met a fish,
splashing in quick, long stream.
Fish, fish, said the hunter,
a lion is chasing me. What should I do?
Well, said the fish,
if I were you, I would swim to the
bottom of the sea, where the lion could never catch me.
But I can't do that, said the hunter.
I have no gills, and I'll drown if I swim that far down.
Well, said the fish,
I'm a fish and that's what I would do.
The lion roared.
(Lion roars.)
Overcome with fear, the hunter ran to a meadow
but the lion followed close behind.
Before long, the hunter met a duck,
preening on top of a rock.
Duck, duck, said the hunter,
a lion is chasing me,
what should I do?
Well, said the duck,
if I were you, I'd fly high in the sky
where the lion could never catch me.
But I can't do that, said the hunter,
I have no wings and I can can't fly.
Well, said the duck,
I'm a duck and that's what I would do.
The lion roared.
(Lion roars.)
Overcome with fear,
the hunter ran through a forest, but the lion followed close behind.
Before long, the hunter met a mouse
hopping through a leaf pile,
Mouse, mouse, said the hunter,
a lion is chasing me, what should I do?
Well, said the mouse,
if I were you,
I'd dig a hole deep into the earth
where the lion could never catch me.
But I can't do that, said the hunter.
I have no claws and I don't have enough time to dig a hole.
Well, said the mouse,
I'm a mouse and that's what I would do.
The lion roared.
(Lion roars.)
Overcome with fear,
the hunter ran through a desert but the lion followed close behind.
Before long the hunter met a cheetah,
springing through a gully.
Cheetah, cheetah, said the hunter,
a lion is chasing me. What should I do?
Well, said the cheetah,
if i were you, I would run so fast, the lion could never catch me.
But I can't do that, said the hunter.
I only have two legs and I can't run that fast.
Well, said the cheetah,
I'm a cheetah and that's what I would do.
The lion roared.
(Lion roars.)
Overcome with fear,
the hunter ran to a swamp but the lion followed close behind.
Before long, the hunter met a monkey,
making mud pies in a bog.
Monkey, monkey said the hunter,
a lion is chasing me. What should I do?
Well, said the money,
what are you asking me for?
I'm just a monkey making mud pies in the bog.
But I need help, said the hunter.
The lion is closing fast
and is going to eat me.
Well, said the monkey,
what are you currently doing?
I'm running for my life and asking for help from
various wildlife, said the hunter.
Is that working for you? asked the monkey.
No, said the hunter.
I'm getting tired.
The advice I've gotten thus far has not helped
and the lion is catching up.
Then try doing something different, said the monkey,
and went back to making mud pies.
The lion roared.
(Lion roars.)
The hunter thought long and hard about what the monkey said.
The hunter had an idea.
(Music.)
Finally, the lion caught up to the hunter.
It was just about to pounce on him,
when the hunter poked the lion in the nose with the spear.
Ow, said the lion, that really hurts.
The lion bounded away
and the hunter never ran from a lion ever again.
The end.
