Well, in the small group process what
makes the students’ experience unique is
that they work in a team from the beginning
of the quarter to the end of the quarter.
And consistent, continuously, as they work
in this group, they are reflecting about some of
the theories and concepts about small groups.
For example, they learn about decision-
making, they learn problem solving,
conflict management, which are the three
(I mean there are other things that they learn)
but these are the three things that students
continuously face, being a student and
having other courses outside of mine
that they’ve got to balance.
And so they really learn how to be effective
team leaders, themselves, in their unit.
