At the top right corner of the screen you will see a book icon.
Click on the book icon in the top right to go the library web page.
On the left hand side of the screen you will see a list of links to
various kinds of library resources.
To go to the ERIC database, click on the link,
Library Databases.
The library has over 80 databases that we have grouped by subject.
Click on the EDUCATION link to see all the databases for EDUCATION.
All the databases for EDUCATION are listed alphabetically.
Click on ERIC. ERIC - the Education Resources
Information Center - is an online digital library of education
research and information.
In the search box at the top we will
type in our search terms. For our example, I will use
children AND behavior AND media.
Notice I have put the word AND between each search term.
AND tells the computer that I want all three search terms, but they can be in any order.
Click on the Search button to go to the list of results.
ERIC has found 828 articles that match our search terms.
Some of these articles will have the full-text and some will not.
To narrow the results to only the articles that have full-text,
click the box next to Full Text and then click the search button.
Now we have 296 articles.
As we scroll down, you will see that each entry has an
ERIC full-text link.
You can save this to a computer or email it to yourself.
Clicking on the full-text link will give us the entire article exactly as it appeared in the
original print journal. If you have further questions you can call me at 863-667-5060
or email me at ajadams@seu.edu.
I look forward to helping you as your continue your education at Southeastern University.
