Getting Rid of The Tea Party

of knock on doors register voters and turned out the polls this is small d_ democracy but the reason as such are winning is because were abdicating or sitting back and allowing them to we throw up our hands and frustration because the democratic party isn't responding to recent where we wanted to be uh... it's easy to walk away it's another doing gates and so if you want to get rid of the t_v_ are you gotta get engaged in a roper *** as they say to my purse is a contact sport you gotta get out there and i worked a defeated because they're working every day the defeat you they're working everyday to take away those programs we fought our father's file for our grandfathers fought for weatherby social security medicare mental mothers and our mothers and our daughter's death are your friends are here for the concord project this uh... this thing was put together uh... they were doing it systematically that was a relative acad two thousand nine where they said you know the most powerful person america's dot the president's a person committed person and you need to get all your tea party friends to run for pre prison committee people take over local uh... political presents right the right the uh... the party platforms deciding the primary candidates are and this is how we got all these tea party rs in congress with the model we just all about in california we yes progressive empress america worked with the larger progressive movement we're and what we call progresses slates in assembly districts up and down the coast up all throughout california jury has from p_d_ helped organize for for us in susie shannon for the larger progressive community and as you sat tom we gave up our saturdays only one out our local fire houses are union halls are church's and our synagogues and ran to be members of our state democratic party april will be going to the state democratic party in california who will pass resolutions in support of medicare for all hands on social security no strike on iraq this is the real small tea democracy these or the handles of the party are these are the places we can make a difference as crashes actors you guys is successfully you know if you if you look at the tea party having successfully essentially taken over the republican party your successfully doing this within the democratic party only just you don't have a fast enough you don't have a bill you don't have a couple of billionaires no i don't have the coke brothers uh... we're doing it by folks that are giving their ten dollars monthly we use the clean election strategy people give ten dollars a month to help us or sustain ourselves of the people that are making a difference were funded by people that are listening and calling it not all everybody that the majority mother was her sitting on the radio session are the people that p_d_'s about we are in the real sense a community the community of seventy thousand activist who grew frustrated with our democratic party the grew frustrated with what was happening in our neighborhoods and to go up ourselves organized weather day in your neighborhoods physically or getting on the phone we organize on the phone we do virtual organizing the five key issues within p_t_a_ we organize around ending the occupation tonight organize glad to hear and in the military occupation the middle east yes didn't all over i mean were in the ten year anniversary right now over rack and i would argue the reason uh... we finally ended up in the recent tonight the president's going down not fast enough is because of that kind of work every few months people taking to the phones taking ministries to do this work so if you can't in your neighborhood fine like-minded people the art one of the pointer nick as you
