This is a 60-second Army Now from Soldiers Radio and Television.
I'm Ana Allen.
The Transcontinental Motor Convoy reenactment is still going strong,
despite car troubles.
Just before the start of the trip,
one of the youngest drivers talked about planning for the worst.
My car is the oldest that's going the whole way.
It has narrow wheels,
and it goes into ruts and likes to go into different lanes,
so you have to really actively drive it.
It's going to be an adventure to see even if the car gets there.
It turns out Ounan was right to worry.
His 1918 Dodge Brothers Staff Car suffered a transmission leak and brake trouble.
Thanks to some tune-ups, Ounan is back on the road.
A fellow convoy participant says Ounan represents the Army well
and proves it'll take more than a few bumps in the road to stop a soldier in his tracks.
