We are here tonight, with these wonderful people who are great Wolfpack supporters and
NC State alum to welcome the Woodson family – Dr. Randy Woodson, the 14th chancellor
is here tonight with his beautiful wife, Susan and their daughter, Chloe. They are meeting
some wonderful people here from the Wilmington area in southeast North Carolina and, for
a lot of them, it's the first chance they've had to meet a great leader, and a guy that
I would probably call, if we were in a fighter squadron, "Wolfpack One," and Chancellor Woodson
is off to an awesome start.
I get to come with him and some other Wolfpack supporters, and visit my hometown and be on
board this wonderful, magnificent warship – USS North Carolina. I'm meeting probably
100 people here, most of them for the very first time. I've got to tell you – it's
like I know them already. You can almost cut it with a knife, it's so thick here. The passion,
the commitment and the pride here in NC State is very real and it's those things that bond
these wonderful people. They all share it. They're all different, they're all unique
and very special in their own ways, but the common bond is respect and dedication to NC
State. It's incredible – it's magic.
