Hello! Hello! Hello!
Hi, how is everyone?
I'm Irene Caso.
Welcome to the radio program!
I'm excited to be with you
during the next half hour!
I was born in Madrid, Spain, the greatest country ever.
I wanted to be a journalist since I was little.
Journalism, in general, is the greatest profession ever.
I do radio, TV, and produce and anchor the news.
We also have amazing personalities.
I mean, we're cute—we have it all, right, Gloria?
Irene: If I cleaned the building, I'd be doing it all.
I worked up to my ninth month of pregnancy
and then decided to take a break. It was great.
I remember the first 10 months with my baby, watching
him grow. But then, of course, reality happened,
and financially, it was time to find a solution.
We decided the best thing for our family right now
was me going back to work.
My husband stays home during the day.
But then he works and studies as well.
It's been an adjustment for my husband to stay at home.
You know, we're dividing,
and we're both active in Diego's life, you know?
I'm always texting my husband, "How is he doing?"
The first weeks, he'd call and every day was the same.
He's like, "There's no change. It's the same routine."
But he's such an awesome dad.
I'm still trying to find the perfect balance.
We're working a system that's working for us.
I don't know what the future brings, but for now, this works.
I go home to a beautiful baby,
and then during the day I also do what I love.
I always find strength in my faith,
and I think that's what keeps me going and going.
If I didn't trust that it's all in God's hands
and that He's directing my life and knows I can do it all—
if I didn't have those beliefs, I think it'd be very hard
to be successful in anything else.
I'm a journalist,
a mother, a Spaniard.
I always wear heels.
My name is Irene Caso,
and I'm a Mormon.
