"Fractured ribs are not the reason to lose the sense of humour or to stop loving the mortherland"
Colonel Dmytro Delyatyts'ky, released from Russian captivity, has given his first telephone interview.
The commander of the 1st Marine Battalion of Feodosia, Col. Delyatyts'ky, has told TSN(news channel) that he is doing better by now.
He is currently in Mykolaiv with his wife and two sons,
tomorrow he is flying to Kyiv where he is to meet his battalion - those 130 marines that remained allegiant to Ukraine.
Russian soldiers broke Colonel's ribs during capture .
He was then confined in a one-man cell for three days, he was fed, there were no tortures implemented.
Deputy Chief of the Black Sea Navy was visiting the cell and repeatedly offering Colonel to yeild to Russians.
Yet, Colonel has not broken his oath.
The exact conditions of his captivity Colonel Dalyatyts'ky recalls with humour:
"A captive, alone in a dungeon I dwell, Entombed in the stillness and murk of a cell." (citation from famous poem by Pushkin)
They kept me in a one-man cell at a guardhouse.
I am alright. We remained loyal to the oath, to Ukrainnian people.
We believe, 1st Marine Batallion has fully accomplished its mission.
We love Ukrainian people and we keep to our oath to them.
