Mana Party leader Hone Harawira says
he's not bothered by being arrested last night.
He says it's all part of his fight for the poor and needy.
And this morning was no different.
From prison to a cafe.
Hone Harawira's also been on a crusade to help Sam Kuha -
a man who hasn't eaten for 30 days in protest at WINZ
declining his application for a food grant.
And it's in that spirit of protest which got Harawira arrested
last night after he was obstructing a house-moving truck.
This stand is to show
that it's not just about talking;
it's about standing with my people.
150 homes in Glen Innes will be destroyed or moved
as part of the Auckland redevelopment plan.
I'm concerned about that, because I know that if the poor
are kicked out from Glen Innes,
then tomorrow it'll be from Pukekohe, Whangarei, Kaitaia -
everywhere in the country.
The Social Development Minister has agreed to talk to Sam Kuha,
while Hone Harawira heads to court next week.
