Today Dad is going to try out Windows Longhorn Build 4074 and comparing it to Windows XP and Windows Vista on 3 different computers. Windows Longhorn was going to be the next operating system after XP, However Microsoft decided to scrap Longhorn and Make Vista. Windows XP will be running natively on my old Desktop plugged into a Samsung LCD Monitor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 via VGA. Windows Longhorn will be running in VMWare Workstation 11 on my Dell Inspiron N5050 Laptop with a core i5 2430M with 2 cores and 4 threads running at 2.4 GHz with 3 MB of cache, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB Hard Drive and a 1336 x 768 15 Inch LCD screen. Windows Vista will be running in VMWare Workstation 11 on Dad's Dell XPS L702X Laptop with a core i7 2760QM with 4 cores and 8 threads running at 2.4 GHz with 6 MB of Cache, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128 GB Samsung 850 series SSD Pro, a 2TB Hard Drive, and a 1920 x 1080 17 inch LCD screen.
