Counter-terror operation in al-Kabun (Syria). Part 2. "Armour and Smoke."
Continuation of the counter-terror operation in al-Kabun.
The troops have successfully captured a plot on the edge of the block.
The infantry covered by armoured machines moves to attack.
The attack goes in two directions.
A raid deep into the block will be a "surprise" for the militants.
The tanks put up a smoke screen up to deny the snipers fire upon the infantry.
The assault groups move to battle one after another. Each of those has a goal of its own.
One of the fighters is wounded by a sniper shot.
His fellows give first aid to him and send him to the hospital.
The position of the sniper is discovered and fired upon immediately.
It won't need the rifle anymore.
The tanks are the main strike force supporting the infantry.
The discovered targets are immediately destroyed. Any kind of resistance is oppressed in a moment.
Several buildings were freed as the result of the fight which has denied free movement to the terrorists
and disrupted their defense system.
Army losses total two wounded.
Preliminary figures indicate that the wahhabi lost roughly 30 militants.
