Beginning Guitar 101 - How to Play D/F# Chord
Here's another one of those slash chords D/F# or another way to say it D with an F sharp
in the base. F sharp the F sharp note is right here, it's the second fret on the sixth string.
We're gonna make the D with the pinky and the second and third fingers, go on and put
your second finger on the third string second fret. Your third finger on the first string
second fret and the pinky between, it's quite a D huh...that's on the third fret second
string and then stretch your fingers over to get that F sharp on the base so it sounds
like this.
Try it with me now. Get your second finger third string second fret, your third finger
first string second fret and the pinky in between on the third fret second string. Stretch
your first finger over that's on the second fret sixth string (strumming) D with F sharp
in the base, D/F#.
Here's a simple base note exercise you can practice to get this chord even better. Play
your G chord, use the one with your pinky this way then go to that D with an F sharp
in the base and go to E minor going back to D with an F sharp in the base so listen to
it. Play the base note first, it sounds like this (strumming) D with F sharp in the base.
