>> Rick Geritz: There's underemployment in cyber security right now.
So step back for a second.
At the end of the day, we educate people.
We build products.
All of this is done to create jobs and economic growth for the region.
Not only is cyber security growing and there's underemployment
but it's also a very interesting field because imagine being paid to sit on social networks
and find bad guys that are breaking into major corporations
or being a forensic analyst or a reverse engineer.
UMUC got it early and was one of the first to really build curriculum around cyber security
when it was not what it is today.
And then they mix online education with in-person education and have really become one
of the anchors to transform a generation around cyber security.
So now you have individuals that can be local.
They can be Armed Forces personnel overseas taking online courses,
getting ready to enter the workforce.
And what's great about what they've done is they've built that right in the region
where a lot of the high paying positions are available.
At the end of the day, you know, you want to get a good job and do something exciting
and by the way it also protects the country.
