When cat Tymothy came to the house
He brought cat Basil a mouse between his teeth.
Cat Basil had invited everyone for his birthday
and received many gifts.
Seeing the game the guest brought
The host purred, wrinkling his nose in disgust:
Thank you, brother,
but you made an effort for nothing.
Long gone are the days when I was eating mice ...
and you and I were buddies, I'm sorry! "
The embarrassed guest was immensely surprised:
That cat did not eat mice? Did he mishear, perhaps?
He wanted to ask again, but then... dinner was served:
Sour cream, butter, cheese, and liver pate
Sausages of all kinds and even
A sausage, that isn't for sale anywhere! ..
And more trays of snacks came to the table.
Cat Timothy ate till his ears glowed.
"That's the right life, brother ...purred cat Basil -
I get along, as you can see, without mice! "

Whenever my readers ask me,
What I want to say with this fable,
I will tell them them that the cat Basil
ate what was supposed to watch!
A sort of cats, not catching mice
will get thrown out of the pantry in the end!
The gossiping magpie
A magpie without hesitation went to the house of the eagle
(What in itself was pretty weird,
Although it's not for us to judge about how eagles live
nor with whom they carry friendships.
but in this case the magpie was,
a youth girlfriend of the wife's sister Orla ...)
The eagle, hovering above all others in the clouds
and because of this a bit estranged from everyday life
on a whim of his wife invited the magpie
shook wings with her, and talked with her.
The magpie chirped, the magpie was in the loop
who build her nests, and who came flying to it...
The eagle listened with both ears
as she brought forward every gossip possible.
"I heard the other day, when the nightingale sings,
imagine with whom she gives the concert
As night at the pond begins to croak a frog,
and starts to echo her from the border of the woods
Well, what about the starling?
Ah, about this singer, to speak frankly
he's only keen on one thing and changes nest-house every spring.
"What do you think of the Thrush?" -
I must confess, and not keep it concealed that when autumn comes he looks forward to going oversees.
As the magpie gossiped unashamedly
the eagle shaped his opinions about the birds.
For someone imagining himself for a position,
an eagle preserves such slander under his wings.
