Today, we prepare the Halwa of seeds of jack-fruit.
Let us see what are the ingredients we require to prepare the Halwa of seeds of jack-fruit.
Seeds of Kathal (jack-fruit) - 250 grams.
Sugar - ¼ cup.
Milk - 1 cup.
Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp.
Mawa (dried milk) - ½ cup.
Ghee - ¼ cup.
Pistachio nuts - 1 tbsp.
Cardamom - 4.
Raisin - 1 tbsp.
Almonds - 6 to 7.
First of all we will boil the seeds of jack-fruit.
Boil these seeds in cooker and add 1 cup water in it.
Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes after one whistle in the cooker.
The pressure inside the cooker has finished we can take out the boiled seeds.
Peel the hard cover from the seeds.
Grind them in a mixer now.
Add a little milk to grind these pieces nicely.
The paste of seeds of jack-fruit is now ready and it should be coarse.
Cut the dry fruits also.
Cut the almonds and Pista finely.
Make a powder of seeds of cardamom.
Heat the Pan.
Take two spoons ghee in a Pan.
Fry the paste of seeds in it in the mid-flame.
We have fried this paste for 5 to 6 minutes and we will now mix Mawa in it.
Crumble the Mawa and fry it with the paste in the similar way till it turns brown.
The paste is now ready since it does not stick to the edges now and its colour has changed.
Add the remaining milk in it.
Also, add sugar in it.
Now add cashew, pista, raisin and almond in it.
Cook the Halwa by stirring it regularly till it turns thick.
Add ghee in it to give it an aroma.
If we want to make Burfi from it, we can cook it for few more minutes.
Mix cardamom powder in it now.
Take it out in a bowl.
The Kathal Ke Beej Ka Halwa is now ready.
