Caucasian Cuisine. Baku Veal

Good afternoon! This is the second episode of our program.

And again the chef of the Shesh-Besh restaurant, Kaysym, is helping me master the art of cooking.

Today we are going to cook another dish, and that is Baku veal. Am I right?

Yes, you are!

What products do we need?

First of all we need veal, about 200 grams.

And where can we buy it?

At the market place.

And how to find out whether it's good or not?

The younger the calf was, the less dark the meat is.

We also need potatoes, about 200 grams, onion, lemon, and parsley.

We also need pomegranate, about 50 grams.

We will also use cherry tomatoes to decorate the dish, when it is ready.

The veal is already in the frying pan. We cut the vegetables into pieces.

How long does it take to cook this dish?

We make over to frying.

We are cooking Baku veal. All the ingredients are ready.

Before we start cooking, let's once again repeat the products we need.

That's veal, pomegranate, onion, parsley, and potatoes.

We are frying veal without any oil or butter.
-
We cover the frying pan with a lid, so that the veal is stewed rather than fried.

Then we add butter, onion and parsley.

We may also put in some salt, half a teaspoon will be enough.

We also put in black pepper, but not much, and curcuma.

We fry the veal with onion for about 5 minutes.

The veal should be juicy.

We take another frying pan and fry the potatoes.

We take oil, about 100 grams.

We add the pomegranates to the veal.

We put in some salt, about half a teaspoon, and some pepper, but also not much.

We should use a lot of oil, so that the potatoes almost boil in it.

How much time does it take to fry the potatoes?

About 6 minutes.

And the meat is being warmed up now.

The potatoes are now ready. We pour out the oil.

We put the potatoes and the meat on a plate.

We decorate the dish with parsley and cherry tomatoes.
