Hi, this is a message from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
If you are fifty years or older.
Call Your Doctor about a colon cancer screening.
I think it’s a good thing to do, so you can be checked and screened for colon cancer.
I had my first one about a month ago.
I knew nothing about colon cancer until I was diagnosed.
At the time I was a little skeptical about having, the procedure done.
I’m kinda scared of it. It makes me nervous just the thoughts going through it.
I was scared outta my pants.
I did it, it was easy and everything worked out fine.
I had the colonoscopy cancer screening it was fairly easy.
Nothing unusual.
Bring a friend with you to take you home. That’s about it.
It’s one of those things that cancer is always ike eating up in somebody like some rust on a car or something
and unless you take care of it, then it’s not gonna be taken care of and it’s potentially gonna get worse.
African-American, Puerto Rican-American, whatever American you are, get yourself tested.
Everyone should have it done. Very Important.
I mean I was in my forties when it happened to me, so just get screened.
