and we can't talk about the environment without talking about commodities
with an ever growing population what's going to power us ahead
and where do prices go from here?
If we look 25 years ahead of course
this rising emerging market demand is gonna put an awful lot of pressure on
natural resources
yes with demand comes challenges but more often than not
that's also seen as an opportunity and supply response so maybe I'm optimistic
here
but I think it's a challenge that's surmountable
The big unknown here is how
quickly supply can respond how quickly
efficiency changes and that can be a real game-changer
in actually meaning demand is clearly going one way
we're very able to cope with that and it's that balance between demand and supply
that's gonna tell us where prices end up
we have the resources to
support a greatly expanded population
Solar energy is doubling every year that will meet our energy needs
within 20 years at very low cost with no environmental impact
so we can support a much larger population
