Hello everyone on youtube and who ever that watches this video about wirecast.
This is another wirecast tips from fullysquared.com. I wanted to show you how to back up my documents
folder. And what that allows you to do is , if you
ever have to reinstall wirecast. You can actually go back to all the original
shots and ever thing you have had when you before you previously installed it.
You if its crash or its slow or you reinstalled windows lately.
You can actually reinstall and enable all your shots again.
To do this we are going to head over to my desktop.
I'm going to be in the little screen on the left hand side.
If you want to follow along you can just go into the wirecast software and show you my
desktop. Lets shot over right now.
This is the wirecast desktop. and right here is the upper left hand corner
of the interface of wirecast. Under file you go to save as, what you want
to do is save your document just like it is listed on the screen here.
Let me pull it up a little bit so you can see it.
It saves it as a wcst file. What you want to do is want to save this lets
say before you umm reinstall windows or before you go and remove wirecast and you want to
keep all your original shots. What you want to do is save this file to anywhere
your not going to overwrite it. Now you can save to a backup, to disk, to
usb save it to anywhere your not going to reinstall over top of it.
What i mean by that is if you save it to my documents folder and then you come back in
here and lets just save it. For my argument sakes I'm going to save to
my desktop but obviously you want to save it to the spot you want to save it to for
back up. I'm going to save it to my desktop and once
i save it to my desktop it comes up on my desktop down at the bottom of my screen.
Now once i reinstall windows get ever thing back on there what i want to do is i want
to come back in wirecast again up under file. You want to open, and your going to open that
document on your desktop or where ever you saved it at.
Thats the one you want to open I'm doing it over here right here.
Mines on my desktop, lets see desktop right there and my document is right there.
Thats the file you want to open. And when you open that file every shot, every
angle every shot will be exactly the same as it was before you reinstalled windows or
reinstalled what you had to do. Now the only thing that will be missing lets
say that you use a foreground or a background or any images, any images wont be there you
just have to resign those and tell them where they are at
and i can show them in a future video if you would like.
If you would like to see that future video or if you have any more tips or tricks that
you would like to see me make about wirecast. Shoot me a email shawn@fullysquared.com.
Don't forget to head to my website at fullysquared.com and i will be posting this on my website its
at fullysquared.com/wirecasttips all one word. Thanks again for stopping by and we will see
you then.
