Welcome back to the Installing Oracle Endeca Information Discovery v3.0 screencast series.
This is the beginning of Part 8: Installing the Provisioning Service.
In this screencast, we’ll create the WebLogic domain for the Provisioning Service, and install the Provisioning Service.

Unzip the Provisioning Service zip file into a temporary directory.
From a command prompt, change to the directory that contains the Configuration Wizard start-up program.
Then run the config.cmd command.
On the Welcome page, select ‘Create a new WebLogic domain’ and click Next.
On the ‘Select Domain Source’ page, select ‘Base this domain on an existing template’ and browse to the directory where you unzipped the
Provisioning Service Installation Package.
Select the file eidProvisioningTemplate.jar. Then click Next.
On the ‘Specify Domain Name and Location’ page, the default domain name is oracle.eid-ps.
Do not change the domain location or application location. Click Next.
On the next page, create a username and password for the administrator.
The password must be at least eight alphanumeric characters long, and contain at least one number or special character
and click Next.
On the ‘Configure Server Start Mode and JDK’ page, click the Production Mode radio button.
Click ‘Available JDKs’ and select the Sun Java JDK that we installed earlier. If the JDK is not displayed, click ‘Other JDK’ and browse to it.
Then click Next.
On the ‘Select Optional Configuration’ dialog, select Administration Server and click Next.
On the ‘Configure Administration Server’ dialog, use the default values for Name and Listen address fields.
In the Listen port field, type 8201.
In the SSL Listen port field, type 8202. Click Next.
On the next page, click Create.
Click done when the message ‘Domain Created Successfully’ is displayed.
