Hi, this is Luis for expertvillage.com and we're going to be talking about pawn shops.
Today I'm here at Inland Jewelry and Loan. Another common item that people tend to bring
to a pawn shop so that they can get money for or buy are tools. Of course we've got
tools, all kinds of tools. We've got miter saws, tile saws, drills, chain saws, weed
eaters, whatever you want. We take hand tools and all that kind of stuff. Like I said, you're
going to get, the prices you're going to get vs. retail are less than half. If you go into
a retail store and for example one single wrench you can expect to pay anywhere from
16 to $30 or if you go high end you can expect to pay 30 to $100 for single wrench. In here
we sell wrenches starting at 10 cents. We have really, really, really cheap prices when
it comes to that. We do sell higher end stuff like products from Snap-On or Matco and things
like that and those kind of items we tend to price a little higher. But not nearly as
high as you would when you go into the retail store. Or one of their retail trucks that
drive around to the mechanic places. So you're definitely going to get a better deal when
it comes to tools in a pawn shop. And of course we give you the 30 days warranty, so if for
example you buy a miter saw from us and say you go home and the motor is burnt out. You
can bring it back to us within 30 days and we'll exchange it for another one. We won't
give you the money back but we will exchange it for another one just to make sure you're
happy.
