Probably the most common piece of safety equipment that your going to find BMX riders using is
a good helmet most commonly used is a skateboard style helmet this particular model by Protec
is what I'm wearing. The main the first issue when your buying one is that you want to make
sure that it fits you snuggle but isn't to tight so that it's going to cut off circulation
or be uncomfortable. You usually want to buy them a little bit tighter than you think that
you do because they tend to pack out a little bit. Here you see if I put my helmet on I
can sort of shake my head and it won't move but it also still very comfortable, so I don't
ever have to worry about getting a headache anything like that it's very comfortable.
The second issue here is your strap this is basically what holds the helmet on when you
go down you want to make sure that it again it's not to loose, because if it's to loose
it's just not going to hold your helmet on. And if it's to tight it'll it will be very
uncomfortable and if your helmet is uncomfortable your not going to want to wear it and that's
not a good thing. The third and final issue has to do with these little guys here you
want this V in essence to come down right below your ear that ensures that proper helmet
fit so here you go got it all strapped up these coming down right below my ears, my
helmets not moving your good to go.
