The Fleet Week, I've seen two aspects of it so far. One, just interacting
with the public. The other interacting with other services. We just
had a tour with some Navy petty officers and
it was interesting hearing their side of their missions and kind of sharing with them
our missions and having no clue of
each others missions and it was just interesting
sharing that with them and obviously with the public. Before I entered the Coast Guard
I wasn't even familiar with the Coast Guard, even though I grew up on the Coast. I
wasn't even familiar with the Coast Guard, so I think it was a good experience being
out in the public eye for the public to see that the Coast Guard does exist and to share
with them our mission. And for us to be interacting with the public
personally this particular boat with our OIC, he's
pretty much a part of the public when are out at sea,
underway. We have people come aboard and
share with what our mission is and we are very public oriented.
