Hello lovely K-Colors of Korea Family. We are Milktea.
We are really happy to meet you through this video interview.
We will give our best to answer your questions carefully.
Yes, here is the first question.
What kind of group is Milktea and how was it formed?
We are a pop band consisting of two people: a guitar player and a singer
We had a special meeting concerning our band.
We were drinking milktea at that time and thought since milktea has a sweet and bitter taste it really suited our songs. And that's how we got our name.
When did you Wooyoung oppa discover your passion for music?
Hm... In highschool I watched the music video of Guns N' Roses “Sweet child O'Mine” by chance.
I thought that the part of the guitarist was very attracte and that's how I started to learn to play the guitar.
When did you Remi discover your passion for music?
I was in middle school on the verge of going to highschool.
It so happened that I listened to the song „Stuck“ of Stacie Orrico on the mp3 player of a friend.
And from that moment on I had to listen to that song constantly.
There I thought I have to a music highschool what I actually did and I started from that moment on.
There I thought I have to a music highschool what I actually did and I started from that moment on.
Of course there is a big meaning to both of them but if we have a look at our songs there are more songs of calmer nature and you get the feeling that they are telling us a story in a whisper.
That means that a smaller stage is better for us than a bigger one so we can keep eye contact with our fans and we can convey our message better. That's why I think that a smaller stage is better for us.
Yes, I think so too.
Our songs are mostly light or rather encouraging. Is there a message we want to tell our audience?
When you listen to our songs. We have a lot of songs about love.
I am a person who thinks about love a lot.
That's why I didn't want to embed difficult love stories in our songs.
So we have love stories that everyone can easily understand and we want to tell you these.
Does this mean that you want an easy love?
I beg your pardon?
No, that's not what I mean. Viewers that's not what I mean!
Alright, let's move to the next question then.
How do we compose the sweet melodic songs?
Ok... When I compose the songs the emotions at that moment are also really important. That's why I also try to factor my feelings in.
I go to a café by myself and listen to the stories of different couples
Or I watch a lot of love movies. The most important thing is that I am in a relationship
I envy you.
I'm sorry
I have my fans nonetheless!
Let's move to our next question.
Two of our songs where it's about food “Mr. Chocolate, Mrs Orange” and “Ramen Kind” are both well- known.
Was that a coincidence? How is our relation to food?
It was not an intention to include food in our songs.
In the beginning we just thought of what is sweet?
Then chocolate came to our mind and when we thought about something fresh we thought of the orange.
Therefore we figured that we could use these things a metaphors for man and woman. This is how Mr. Chocolate and Mrs. Orange was created.
With ramen king it was like this- my girlfriend was cooking me ramyun and I felt really happy
I translated this feeling into that song and that's “Ramen King”
Yes, we are one of the few co- ed groups. Are there often misunderstandings or problems arising from this?
I dont think so
But there are positive aspects. For example when we compose a song we need both perspectives to be able to put us in those positions. Therefore we can portray both perspectives really well.
At last we want to bid farewell to the K- Colors family.
It was our pleasure to spend some time with you and we hope that we will see each other in Europe next time
Take care.
