I always carry with me some form of notebook, blank sheets of paper.
I always like to write down ideas that I have.
How the idea can actually unfold because
once you have that abstract idea in your head
and you put that on a piece of paper, all of a sudden that idea becomes
a little bit more
tangible,
a little bit more

When I touch paper
I can feel the texture, I can smell it, there is time connected to it.
There is something really beautiful about for instance opening an old book
that was touched by
perhaps my parents or my friends. There is a whole history behind it.
There is emotional connection with paper that I'll never have with an iPad
or with my laptop, with computers. It's a really, really great tool,

as much as I can feel with paper.
I believe that the sensual, touchy, emotional qualities of paper
will always be the case and there was always going to be space for that
