Welcome to MyBinding video. This is a review of the Fellowes Atom 180, an 18 inch rotary
style paper trimmer. This super sized rotary trimmer can trim large sheets up to 18 inches
in length. As functional as it is stylistic, this Fellowes yellows functional fence is
a great feature. Two magnets hold it down to the face of the trimmer. Use the rails
at the top or the bottom to lock it into place. The fence is locked down with a twist of the
***. Document alignment and special angled cuts are easily done on the Atom 180 because
of the precise and plentiful measuring tools on the face of the trimmer.
Trimming ability is crucial. The Atom 180 can trim paper in either direction, so there's
no need to reset the blade. You can go up, down, or right and left. And even more important
is the cut capacity. We put to test the manufacturer's suggestion that this can slice through 30
sheets of 20lb paper at a time. With 10 sheets, 20 sheets, and even 30 sheets, we found this
trimmer to perform really really well. At 18 inches, the cutting length of this trimmer
is monstrous, allowing almost any paper either portrait or landscape in direction. The sharp
and very durable stainless steel blade has been placed inside a plastic case to keep
it away from your fingers. This makes for great safety.
It's a tad large and heavy. But with that cutting length and a solid metal base, it's
as understandable as it is durable and stable. Overall, we really liked the Atom 180 by Fellowes.
And at a price point of well under $170 and covered by a 10 year warranty, really how
can you go wrong? For more reviews and demos of this product
