Hi, my name is Clint Schambach and I am a personal training and weight loss bootcamp
instructor with Level Up Fitness in St Louis, MO
The question that everyone wants to know, is what is the worst food that I can eat?
What is the absolutely worst thing that I can keep in my house that will stop my weight
loss in its tracks?
This is an important question, and a completely reasonable concern. Nobody wants to accidently,
or on purpose, consume foods that will kill their fat loss results and nullify their hard
work in the gym.
It’s a simple answer, the #1 worst food to keep in your house, is the one that you
can’t say no to. If you know there is a certain type of food that is your absolute
weakness, whether it’s a snack or actual meal, you cannot keep it in your house. It’s
a different answer for everyone, but almost everyone has something that when they open
the pantry doors or refrigerator, if its in there, it won’t be for long, and there is
going to be nothing to put back. Mine is chips and salsa, and lucky charms. Salsa is healthy,
I keep that in the house, but I cannot have chips around or they are going down. And Lucky
charms, that box is gone.
Keep this in mind, everyone has moments of weakness in regards to nutrition. If someone
tells you they don’t, they are lying. I know I’m not immune, which is why I don’t
keep those types of foods around. You need to do the same. Yeah it sucks when you are
searching everywhere for a snack and can’t find it, and you go back 3 or 4 times to look
again, because somehow its magically going to appear, but when the urge passes, you are
always relieved and feel better about yourself. And most importantly, you don’t have the
feeling of “Oh crap, how much did I just set myself back?”
