I can't believe it! Someone told me that you can go to Australia from America if you go in a western direction.
But that's impossible!
Why?
Well, look at a world map. Australia is on the east side.
So you have to go in an eastern direction to get there.
You know, the world map isn't meant to be taken literally.
Hey, you're not one of those round Earth believers, are you?
Is it bad if I am?
Well, everyone has the right to their beliefs and opinions.
I believe the Earth is flat. That's my belief.
The Earth can't be round. I saw it flat on my map.
Haven't you ever seen a globe?
Globes? Yeah, but that's just a theory of what the Earth might look like if it were round.
But it can't be! Or the people on the other side would fall off.
- Well, gravity...
Oh but that's science. I don't get that.
Well, I was taught the Earth was round in my science class at school.
Ah! The public school system! Why are they trying to indoctrinate our society in believing all these theories?
Look at it from both sides...
How would you feel if your child were taught the Earth was flat?
You'd be furious, because that's against your personal beliefs.
Well, I don't want my children being taught that the Earth is round.
You might think that I'm a bigot or something. But that's just my opinion, which should be respected.
I don't want to be harassed for my beliefs.
I think if you want me to be tolerant of you, you should be tolerant of me.
We talk about embracing our diverse society and being inclusive to everyone...
But when you say open-minded and accepting, what you really mean is...
accepting people who are different, except for the people who have a different opinon than you.
But even if they teach it in schools, you still have the right to accept or not accept these ideas.
The children should just be educated to know what scientists believe.
I'm not a hateful bigot!
I don't care what these scientists do behind closed doors as long as they don't interfere with my personal life!
I still respect scientists, I just don't agree with their radically bizarre theories they choose to create.
