Hi I’m Dave and on this installment of Summit Racing Quick Flicks TruXedo tonneau cover
on a brand new Ford F150.
So we have our TruXedo Lo Pro QT tonneau cover here, we will open up the box and inside your
going to find the tonneau cover assembly itself, the rails, clamps for the installation, and
the bulk head seal kit. Really the only thing you’re going to need to install this is
a nine sixteenth wrench. So we have the components for our TruXedo tonneau cover laid out here,
it’s a soft roll up tonneau style cover, what’s nice about that is you get quick
easy access to the bed when you need it and also with this particular cover there is basically
just four simple steps to installing it. It has a clamp on style rail system and the cover
itself using Velcro. Alright, we have Larry here and he’s going to help us install the
tonneau cover and the first steps in the process are getting our side rails in place. You have
six clamps, you need three a piece on each side of the truck bed evenly spaced and we
will go ahead and install this first one here at the end and finger tighten it and once
we have all have six clamps in place we will go back with our nine sixteenth wrench and
tighten them all down. So as you can see we have our rails in place, step two in the process
is to adjust the rails as necessary to make sure they are at your level and you can do
that by using the grooves that are on the clamps you can move the clamps up and down
just to make sure this is nice and level, we have already done that so now we are going
to move on to step three which is to put the bulk head seal across the front part of our
cover here. Before we do that I just want to point out right here about these tension
screws to basically allow you to set the tension on the cover to make any adjustments as necessary.
That being said I am going to move the cover in place here and get our bulk head seal ready
to install it’s a cut to fit deal so you will have to unroll it, make a measurement,
and cut it to size. Okay we have our bulk head seal in place, now we are going to move
on to step four which is move the cover into place and then secure so we will go ahead
and do that. We want to make sure its flat, push down, there is a clip on the underside
here which will secure the actual cover to the side rails. There you have it, one TruXedo
Tonneau cover installed in four easy steps and now we are ready to go out and enjoy,
thanks for watching.
