[Sound of train]
Most of the time I study
for my SATs. Because I want to pass the SAT with a high score
because I want to get into a good college. But I have asthma
and I am sick a lot. And I miss a lot of days of school
and I don't get to learn what I need to learn, because I am not fully there.
[Yawning. Sound of book closing]
and I do find myself in need, with money situations.
Like I need a new coat. I've been wearing my sister's coat.
My mom, she wanted
to by me a coat. That was my Christmas gift, but she got laid off.
So,
we have to do it on our own. Make money on our own.
[Car Horn. Car Alarm]
[phone rings] Can I help you?
I am working on a clothes drive, for people that are in need of clothes.
So people bring in clothes to help,
and then who ever wants them, comes and takes them.
I am working for my family and my sister, because I don't want her going through, what
I had to go through. Like struggling to get what I want.
Or to see her friends with everything, and she don't have nothing.
I'm the chef in my house. On the menu today
is a red velvet cake, and penne alla ***.
At nine, I knew how to cook cheesecake from scratch.
My sister she helps me cook dinner,
so I don't have to cook by myself, standing over the hot stove by myself.
I really want her to have a good future. I don't want her to be like all her other friends.
that are not even in school. Put it low. Good Job.
I want to show her ... do your own and succeed.
My big big big goal is to own my own restaurant
by the time I am 20. Me failing, scares me
because I really want to reach my goal. And if I don't reach it
ever in life, it's something
I am not going to be proud of, because I really wanted that goal, and I really had my mindset
to that goal. We should two layers of spice, and I have enough to do two.
[The end.]
