This is a brown lump of polymer clay. This allows a lot of tinkering!
I form a ball of aluminum foil.
I wrap the ball with leftovers from polymer clay.
Then I wrap everything with brown Fimo.
This is the thick body of Mr. Potato Head.
I model the eyes. I use white, brown and black Fimo.
I paint on with a black lacquer pen. The pen works very well with polymer clay.
The white is dirty. With a cotton swab and alcohol I rid of the dirt.
I push a wire at the back of the eye.
I mix yellow and red.
I form a drop and then the nose from the orange. In the nose also comes a piece of
wire.
I mix magenta with white.
I model the ears.
I model the mouth. Black is the background. The teeth are white and the
lips red. For the beard I also use black.
Mr. Potato Head is slowly taking shape.
I model the hand. I use a long wire and white polymer clay.
I model the black hat. In the hat comes a piece of wire.
I halve a ball of leftovers. Each half is a shoe.
I wrap the halves in blue polymer clay.
I push contours in the shoe.
I decorate the shoe with shoelaces. The shoes get even toothpicks, where Mr.
Potato Head can stand on.
Before I bake all the parts, I make holes in the body.
