Ok I have my cap right here and what my cap does is it help retain the barrel and the
forearm to the receiver. That is an important part because you do not want your barrel coming
apart or separating from you receiver when you are out in the field. So you want to make
sure this is good an clean, so what I am going to do is I am going to actually use the small
end of my brush here and I am going to get in here and I am just going to set inside
these threads and I am just going to work it around. Now you maybe thinking it is screwed
on there, how does anything get in there and you are mostly right. Not a lot of stuff gets
inside here, but you do not want to risk having some thing in there that will possibly let
this get loose or even freeze on there. A lot of shotguns sometimes the caps, people
have not taken them off in so long they will even kind of freeze into place you know the
metal and the threads may oxidize with the metal on the tube. We are going to help prevent
that, we have had our break free sitting in here to get anything loose and we are just
using this brush in here to help us get the rest of it.
