Once you have logged in you should see the practice screen
There are two ways to find a skill to practice
First by topic, decimals
Then grade level, 7th grade

Then by topic, operations with decimals

Once you have selected the skill solve the first problem
Enter the answer in the answer box
Then hit submit
The answer I entered was incorrect
I can then review the question and my answer
Below I can see the correct way of solving the problem
And the correct answer
I now see that I added instead of subtracting
I also did not line up my decimals properly
So I will click Got it
I will then solve the next problem and submit my answer
This time I will line up my decimals and subtract
Enter my correct answer in the answer box and hit submit
My answer was correct
I can now see that my SmartScore has increased from zero to ten
When I have a SmartScore of 100 I will know I have mastered the skill
I can also see how long I have spent working on this skill
And the number of problems I have attempted
When you leave the practice screen your progress will automatically be saved
You can track your progress in the reports tab
The default report will show the time you have spent throughout the years by month
Student usage by time, by category
And all the skills that I have practiced
It shows the skill, time spent on the skill
The problems attempted and the SmartScore
Finally you can visit the awards tab to view awards that you have earned by grade level
Now you are ready to start practicing your math skill with IXL
